Indoor Wood Veneers
A high-impact feature wall using large-format, wood-effect porcelain veneers, expertly installed to provide the seamless, textural warmth of timber with the durability of tile.

This media room project was designed to create a warm, enveloping, and sophisticated atmosphere. The client loved the linear, textural look of architectural wood panelling but was concerned about the long-term maintenance of real timber, especially its susceptibility to scratches, fading, and warping in a high-use area.
Handling the panels requires a special rigid frame with multiple suction cups to prevent the thin porcelain from flexing and cracking before it's bonded to the wall. The bonding process itself is critical. We used a high-performance, flexible adhesive and employed the "back-buttering" technique, trowelling adhesive onto both the wall and the entire back of the panel. This ensures 100% adhesive coverage, leaving no air voids, which is essential for a permanent, high-strength bond.
