Craft Brick Tiling
We bring timeless, textural warmth to any room with meticulously installed craft brick tiling, perfect for creating a stunning industrial or rustic feature.

The appeal of an exposed brick wall is timeless. It adds texture, character, and a sense of history to any space, from a rustic farmhouse kitchen to an industrial-style urban loft. However, achieving this look isn't always possible with the original structure of a modern home. This is where the artistry of craft brick tiling comes in. For this living room project, the client wanted a high-impact feature wall behind their media centre that felt authentic, warm, and robust.
We achieved this using high-quality brick "slips"—thin, lightweight tiles cast from real, reclaimed bricks. This product captures every imperfection, colour variation, and textural nuance of a centuries-old wall. But the magic isn't just in the material; it's in the installation. Replicating the "perfectly imperfect" look of real brickwork is a craft in itself, one that requires more artistic intuition than standard grid-based tiling.
Our team began by planning an authentic "running bond" pattern, meticulously staggering the joints and custom-cutting bricks at the corners to create a convincing "wrap-around" effect, as if the wall were truly structural. The real skill, however, was in the pointing—the process of filling the joints. Instead of the crisp, clean grout lines of a bathroom, this style demands a more traditional approach.
We used a classic mortar mix, applied with a pointing bag, and intentionally overfilled some joints and recessed others slightly. This "rustic" or "raked" joint finish is what lends the wall its authentic character. We carefully cleaned the brick faces while allowing some of the mortar haze to remain, enhancing the aged patina. The result is a stunning success. The wall is the undisputed focal point of the room, adding a layer of tactile warmth that contrasts beautifully with the client's sleek, modern furniture. It's a testament to our team's versatility and our understanding that a successful installation is about capturing the right feel, not just perfect lines.
